First some time in a hammock and get some sun. Then walk and exercise with my new kettlebell.
Then I will spend the day going through all my old stuff and sell it on line.
My sixteen year old son asked me for some philosophy books. That was weird unless we are being prompted by youtube to watch the same content as I was listening about Plato whilst walking.
I had forgotten about Greek philosophy and will dig out some old books. It triggers memories of sunny days at University.
Thought for the day : Activity beats dreaming
I have started to use youtube as a source of knowledge and personal development.
I walk at least 45 minutes each day and exercise my mind with youtube clips at the same time.
There is a lot of rubbish but some great insights. Youtube is dangerous if you have ADHD or a procrastinator – you can spend hours on these subjects and never get anything done.
Todays learnings are:
Ethos : originally meaning custom or habit. Develop good habits. Habits are good as they are regularly executed actions and not thoughts.
Self motivation : those motivation videos are sugar hits that don’t change your habits. Be clear on your purpose and who you are, this will give you foundation of strong self motivation. Go spend 3-4 hours away from technology and everyone and force yourself to think, to be open with yourself and seek clarity on what you want.

The below is my own framework for goal setting : Must means I will achieve this, Habit means this will be a habit which will be sustained, Reward is a reward (of course),
Physical / Health : Whole Plant Based Diet (Habit), 45 min walk each day (Habit)
Mental / Social : 15 min mindfulness each day (Habit)
Giving / Giving Thanks : Give $100 a month cash to strangers (Reward)
Experience : HK Sevens in 2018, Rugby World Cup 2019, Barramundi fishing (Reward) Oct 2017, more to be added
Skills : Degree in Psychology (Reward)
Financial : Create 1 million in net new wealth in 3 years (Must)
Meaning / Purpose

Ok day 1 is easy with setting up a blog on WordPress.
I have a lot of ideas on creating wealth but the first is to finish an ebook that has sat unfinished for more than five years.
Goal setting is important and I will document these tomorrow.
